Now that we are heading into the Fall season it’s time to change up our makeup routine. As the months get colder, we need to bump up the hydration for our skin but also for our lips. Why a new lip gloss? It is all about innovation. Ingredient technology is always improving, and we want to provide you with not only clean products, but products that perform. Therefore, we are introducing the New HydroPure Gloss. Packed with skin-loving, lip-plumping, and hydrating ingredients, this gloss features a beautiful pop of color that’s never sticky or tacky, always lightweight and ultra-hydrating.
How to Moisturize Lips
Lips do not contain sweat or oil glands so that means you need to hydrate them, especially in colder months. You can do that with many different lip products — lipsticks, lip stains, lip balms, and lip gloss; every product has its place in your makeup routine. Your lips are one of the most delicate parts of the face, so we need to keep them moisturized, exfoliated, and hydrated.
What’s inside HydroPure hydrating lip gloss?
As we age, our lips become dry, lose volume, and sometimes start to thin and show fine lines. The new HydroPure Lip Gloss contains Hyaluronic Acid, a powerful humectant that attracts and locks in moisture. Hyaluronic Acid expands and holds 1000 times its weight in water and even helps to reduce dryness and improves the overall health of the lips.
Palmitoyl Tripeptide-1is a natural collagen stimulator and fatty-acid-linked peptide that helps improve lip volume, creating the appearance of fuller-looking lips. This helps to reduce the appearance of fine lines, helping lips appear more youthful
Lactic Acid is also used to help moisturize and hydrate lips.Lactic Acid is an AHA (alpha hydroxy acid) that gently sloughs dead skin off lips for a smoother, softer smile. It helps with cell renewal and pulls in moisture to keep the lips soft and hydrated.
Also included is a blend of Jojoba Seed Oil, Castor Seed Oil, Shea Butter, Mango Seed Butter, Avocado Oil and Vegetable Oil to condition and protect lips, leaving them soft, smooth, and with a subtle glossy sheen. Having a blend of oils will help the lips appear full and healthy.
How to wear hydrating lip gloss
The best part about having a lip gloss is you can pair it with your favorite lip stick or lip balm. Lip glosses are great for color correction too. If you have a lip stick that is a bit too dark you can tone it down with a lighter shade gloss like Snow Berry or Tourmaline (a fan favorite from many many years ago). Maybe your favorite lip stick needs a pop more color. You can layer Mocha Latte or Berry Red and create a brighter bolder lip.
One of my favorite products to pair a lip gloss with is a lip pencil. It’s a quick and easy way to add dimension to your lips. Color in your entire lip with your lip pencil and pop a gloss right on top and you have long wear lip duo.
I’ve created a chart with my favorite pencil and glosses below:

Fun Fact!!!Lip gloss was invented in 1930 by Max Factor. He struggled with the way matte lipsticks looked on camera. By adding a little shine to the center of the bottom lip the lips would stand out on camera and the actresses would look sexy and sultry.
